Chicago area born and raised. English dad, Israeli mom. Spent most of my life surrounded by Israeli's so I'm in some ways VERY Israeli (Sabra like for those of you know know what that means). Ph.D. In cultural Anthropology (so I can say "would you like fries with that" with authority). Currently unemployed but looking and planning to teach.
The only folks who are friended are people who I know in real life and where I have a genuine interest in staying in touch with them. Feel free to ask me to friend you, but if your not someone I know odds are the answer will be no. Anything remotely personal is kept behind my friends filter (as I've already had the uncomfortable experience of finding out that folks I barely knew and didn't much like were reading my journal) but I offer up a regular dose of innocuous dribble for the folks who are lurking.
