Do you believe in monogamy?
Here in the midwest, when folks gripe about their marriages the response is "are you going to go for therepy?" or "yes, marriages are a struggle, but northing worth having comes easy." In a place like CA, when if a married person describes marital strife the first response I tend to hear is, "so are you getting a divorce?"
In that context, only the MOST stable marriages have a snowballs chance in hell.
Finished reading it last night and now I wish I hadn't. As in I wish I'd never read it. Its seriously disturbing and depressing.
About 1/2 way through I was like, "wow, this book is getting a little dark" and then it proceeded to get down right disturbing and a bit upsetting.
Sorry but Sookie books are supposed to be brain candy. There's death and destruction but she always comes out ahead because of her pluck and drive and your left longing for more.... not this time.
( Spoiler ALERT, SPOILER ALERTCollapse )
Worst of all is per usual I read it in bed while going to sleep.... and I woke still depressed.

Since everyone seems to be going in that direction, I've done the open ID thing, but since I already have a lifetime paid here at LJ its doubtful that I'll do a paid one over there unless they come up with a lifetime fee thats about what LJ asked for $150 or there's abouts.

I've been getting really sick of listening to politicians turn this flue into a political thing.... Republicans for instance calling for us to close borders.
Talk show after talk show full of talking heads who knew bubkiss about medical issues.
Meet the Press has a head guy from the CDC (Center for disease control), the new head of health and human services, and the head of homeland defense (and I"m personally thrilled to see its one guy and two women).
Finally a question I wanted answered is being answered.... WHY does it appear to have been so much more sever in Mexico.
It seems that statistically, this flue isn't actually killing more folks (as a percentage of the folks who get sick from it) than previous flues. Its just that Mexico
1) has a lot of very poor folks who didn't show up to the hospital till they were dying, and
2) WAY more people seem to have been sickened by this virus in Mexico than previously realized, and most of them just experienced a bad cold. Because they're poorer, most never went to the doctor or even took time off work, so It was only when the deaths started to stacking up that the mexicans even realized something was going on.
3) because its a brand new virus, (although according to CNN report, a genetic analysis found its similar enough to one that circulated in the 50's that older folks may have some tolerance to it --- which may explain why most deaths were NOT hitting old people -- another fact that was freaking out doctors) most of the folks who are dying, and or will dye, are middle aged or younger. (i.e., pretty much everyone reading this blog has no immunity).
4) it could mutate (although evidence so far is that it hasn't)

A Judge has ruled against our "revered" ex governor, he can't leave the US to go to a Costa Rican jungle to be on a TV show
FiberPlus dark chocolate almond chewy bar with antioxidants... it has 9 gram of fiber (35% of your daily need with Vitamin E and zinc.
Normally I don't like these things cause they're too sweet, but this one isn't. Its chewy, and with 9g of fiber, if you eat it slowly it fills the tummy

I found a handful of of the Stoffer red boxes that come out to 6 pts/serving. I discovered this because red boxes were on sale and Lean cusines were not.... so I sat down with my pts calculator and went through box by box looking to see if there were any I could get.
Beef Pot Roast with Roasted Potatoes
Baked Chicken Breast with Mashed Potatoes
Green Pepper Steak with Rice
Homestyle Turkey Breast Roasted
Stuffed Green Peppers (it says 2 servings but it comes out to 6 pts 4 g fiber if you eat both)
The major difference is, instead of 6g of fat, there's 12g. This is still well within the amount of fat doctors want you to consume. Like I've said previously, if you look at most frozen foods fat contents of 22g's are the norm.
These red boxes are of course, tastier -- MUCH in the case of the turkey, because of the increased fat. They even smell better. You also seem to get more meat.
And if you've been on a very low fat diet like I have been, something with 12 grams of fat borders on decedent

New add for Corell, this made me laugh, so I'm sharing
